Small Pet Cat

Cats are lovely, cuddly and mischievous little beings and are most ideal to be taken as pets. They are on top of U.K’s top pet, in fact, ahead of dogs, mainly due to the fact that they are relatively easier to care for and need little maintenance.

Small pet cats fit in today’s busy lifestyle because it is possible to spend several hours a day, away from home at work or school and still keep a cat as pet. Small pet cats are happy and satisfied to be left on their own, for a large part of the day.

There are many characteristics of small pet cats that make them a delightful pet. They are a rewarding companion, in the sense; children, who grow up with taking care of cats, learn responsibility. Small pet cats are inexpensive to buy and maintain and have a lifespan of nearly fifteen years or more.

Small pet cats can be either pedigree or non- pedigree. Non- pedigree cats are very inexpensive and are sometimes offered free to good homes. But, in contrast, a pedigree cat or a kitten has to be chosen carefully because they have a pattern of predictable behavior and temperament and most often than not, a particular breed follows the same basic behavior pattern.

In addition, a pedigree cat will invariably cost several hundred dollars. It is also better to check for hereditary diseases before buying pedigree cats. But, nevertheless, whatever the breed of the cats, they make great companions and is a delightful sight to watch a cat roaming in the house, following your feet.
