It is great fun and a good way of reducing the stress to have a small pet but many people may not have the space to have a small pet. This may be due to their living conditions but nevertheless, it is possible to have small desktop pets that are great fun to watch and care for.
There are many small desktop pets that fit in a small habitat and require very little space. It must be ensured whether the people around in home and office, enjoy the small desktop pets as much as much as you do.
It has been scientifically proved that watching fish swim in fish tank reduces a lot of stress in humans and so, fish make great small pets. They are easy to care for and are colorful and inexpensive.
Frog is another fun option for small great pets as well as hermit crabs which bring beach to the indoors. Hamsters, mice and rats are great small pets and if there is a plan of having many of them, a larger space will be needed. But again, it must be ensured that they have a good and secure habitat lest they tend to escape.
Of late, sugar gliders have proven to be great small pets. Sugar gliders are marsupials and their size is around 5 to 6 inches long with a weight just 4 to 6 ounces. Sugar gliders are extremely social and enjoy companionship and so, bond well with their owners.
